the cresting amber dreams
by Asiya Wadud and Jukka Lindberg
the east rings itself in amber, foretold three ways
what its future could become
omniscient as in a will to want the now felled
knowing
outside the country
lives the other extremities
the reach of the interior
the cresting amber dreams
the grid’s formation
is quiet in the making
soon encasing the
whole knowing— kept for keeping, attenuated
permanence assumed and subliminated
the state makes a flag that flies
every emptied motorway
carries our threadbare amber—
brims the load, the
tactile light
