now it is easy to gauge
by Asiya Wadud and Jonas Welander
to line
up all discrete partitions
each part of us
as a window into knowing
the faint line that bears us
that allows us supposition as knowledge
knowing the organ that feeds us
the credence as wellness
the faint line that codes the language
a language hovers above us
its shadow made larger by its mirror
all discrete partitions
the language how it found us
we have looked the dancer
in the eye
held the gaze in full credence
rain washed us and made us well
now, it is easy to gauge
a singular moment
to stake claim for the mere
matter of we were once here
